Compendium Winter 2021!

Hey everyone! As we mentioned on Thursday, our Compendium will be back at the end of this term! What is is, you may ask? Well, it’s a compilation of work created by all of YOU, our lovely members, and distributed online to the entire university! The rules are simple: only official members can be featured in the Compendium, and the submission limit is either 4000 words total or 5 pieces, whichever comes first (no, you can’t submit 10 haikus or 2 stories amounting to 8k total). The word limit is flexible, but not meant to be abused 🙂

We are also looking for editors to help us make sure that all pieces are typo-free and flow well (you’ll be sent an editing guide together with your assigned pieces, don’t worry). Lastly, we’ll have a vote to decide on the cover design for this issue. We know not everyone has the art skills/tools to make a cover design happen, so if you have an idea or a rough sketch you can send that in and I’ll make it into a full piece if it gets chosen in the poll!

This is the timeline:
November 8th: Final date for sending in pieces and signing up as editors and submitting covers (ideas or final)
November 11th: Editors will receive their pieces; closing vote for the cover design
November 18th: Editing deadline
December 2nd: BIG PUBLISHING DAY
